Joanna Czerniel, M.Sc., in 2007 began her studies in the field of Pharmacy at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences (PUMS), from which she graduated in 2013 with a master’s degree in pharmacy. Joanna Czerniel completed her master’s thesis during the Erasmus program at the University of Lorraine in Nancy, France. Its promoters were Prof. Janina Lulek from the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology of the PUMS and Prof. Pierre Leroy from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lorraine, France. In 2010, she began her studies in cosmetology, gaining knowledge and skills in the field of cosmetics technology. In the years 2013 – 2022, Joanna Czerniel worked in generally accessible pharmacies. Since 2014, she has been running a blog with proprietary recipes for natural cosmetics, based only on non-synthetic substrates. In the years 2018 – 2020, she conducted research and development activities related to the development of formulations for a dermo-cosmetic products line, rescaling the laboratory series into production, and introducing the finished product to the market. The experience gained during the research internship and research and development activities on a new dermo-cosmetic formulations resulted in the acquisition of practical skills by Joanna Czerniel in the field of UV-vis, NMR spectroscopic techniques, capillary electrophoresis, and methods of obtaining and testing micellar fluids as well as the use of nanotechnology in drug formulation technology. Joanna Czerniel is the author of a popular science publication entitled Home cosmetics health and beauty straight from nature. From 2022, Joanna Czerniel is employed as an assistant at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, where she conducts research and teaching. In 2022, Joanna Czerniel participated in the project POWR.02.15.00-00-3051 / 20 entitled E-materials for the industry: health care, social assistance, protection of the safety of persons and property for the qualification of MED.09 Preparation and production of medicinal products and trading in medicinal products, medical devices, dietary supplements, and foodstuffs for particular nutritional uses and other products admitted to the market in a pharmacy on the basis of the legal provisions in the profession of a pharmaceutical technician. Since 2022, Joanna Czerniel has been the contractor of the Lider grant entitled Nanoemulsion for parenteral nutrition – an innovative pharmaceutical formulation with hepatoprotective properties financed by the National Center for Research and Development.
